Colors magazine is a quarterly magazine. I redesigned the Apocalypse issue creating a trilingual edition. The design seamlessly incorporates three languages (Arabic, English, and Chinese) each of which with a different orientation. My approach in designing
the magazine reflects the apocalyptic theme, however I subvert the expected tone of fear or seriousness and opt for a light and satirical tone. The issue is modeled as a survival guide for the end-times, and the cover redesign includes miniature trilingual screams and exclamation points.

Throughout the magazine, there are multiple ‘errors’ highlighted in light red that reflect the disastrous nature of the theme while still maintaining however the humorous tone. That is done through flipping images or mixing translations and asking the reader to find it on another page for example.
